POLICY - Terms of purchase

Deposit

A $2000 CAD deposit is required when placing a custom guitar order. If the order is canceled for any reason, 70% of the deposit will be refunded,  30% of the deposit is non-refundable.

Returns

Custom orders cannot be returned. If a custom guitar has defects in craftsmanship upon receipt, please contact us to file a warranty claim. Returns for in-stock guitar purchases are permitted within 30 days of receiving the guitar. The original purchaser must cover the shipping costs to return the guitar. Refunds will be issued after inspection by Meinzinger Guitars for signs of wear and damage. Returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee. For returns showing dings, dents, or other wear, Meinzinger Guitars may charge a repair fee to address these issues. In cases of excessive damage, Meinzinger Guitars reserves the right to deny a refund, and the customer is responsible for shipping costs to return the instrument.

Warranty

Meinzinger Guitars provides a limited warranty on all instruments against defective materials and workmanship, applicable to the original purchaser. If notified of potential defects, Meinzinger Guitars will repair or replace the instrument if it determines that the workmanship or material is indeed defective. The original purchaser must cover the shipping costs both ways, including any duties, brokerage, or taxes. Damages resulting from use, misuse, or wear are not included in this warranty. Normal wood movement, such as minor cracking and warping, which may affect the finish, is also excluded from this warranty.

All hardware components, including but not limited to: pickups, tuners, bridges, strap locks, potentiometers, and switches, are covered by a separate 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Shipping

Meinzinger Guitars uses Canada Post for all shipments, which will distribute through the destination country’s national shipping service (such as USPS in the US). All guitars are shipped with a signature required upon delivery. Shipping rates can vary depending on your location, product size and service method for delivery.

International Orders

International customers outside of Canada are responsible for any duties and/or import taxes. The shipping charges you pay to Meinzinger Guitars only cover the shipping itself. The shipper will contact you before delivery to tell you the import duties and taxes due.
